We are Always Recruiting Skaters, Referees and Officials

The Atomic City Rollergirls are not only always on the look out to recruit new skaters but we are also looking to recruit referees and Non-Skating Officials (NSOs) such as announcers, penalty trackers, score keepers, bout wranglers, security and many other exciting positions.

Roller derby referees skate with the skaters and lay down the law as they enforce the rules. They help keep the game safe and fair. While they do skate they are less likely to take a hit and tend to not get banged up quite as hard. They need to love to study the WFTDA Rules. No experience necessary, just be able to learn. If you think you are cut out to be a roller derby zebra send an email to recruiting@atomiccityrollergirls.org.

There are so many opportunities to help out help make the fantastic sport of women's flat track roller derby the best sport in Eastern Washington. Being a NSO is a great way to be a part of roller derby if you are not ready to be a skater or if you are a guy. No experience necessary, just be able to learn. If you want to do your part as the proud and noble NSO send an email to recruiting@atomiccityrollergirls.org

If you are a woman age 18 and up and you want to skate and be a part of the greatest sport ever played by womankind than you should sign up to be a skater with the Atomic City Rollergirls. If you want to do your part to help roller derby in Eastern Washington send an email to recruiting@atomiccityrollergirls.org or post a comment below.

From the Tri-Cities Community Federal Credit Union website

Tri-Cities Community Federal Credit Union is a federally chartered credit union that was founded in 1969 by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 112. Our name at that time was IBEW #112 Federal Credit Union and our membership was restricted to the electricians and their families. In early 1983, the charter was changed to include any person living or working in Kennewick, then in 1986 the name was changed to Kennewick Community Federal Credit Union. In August 2009 the name was changed again to Tri-Cities Community Federal Credit Union and membership was expanded to include anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Benton or Franklin County, or a member's immediate family.

As a credit union we are a not-for-profit financial cooperative that is tax exempt. Profits are returned to our member- owners in the form of better rates, lower fees, better service and more products. Our founding philosophy is to help the common personĀ achieve their financial goals through the money we can help them save, by encouraging thrift and by providing financial education when possible. We are managed by a member-elected volunteer Board of Directors. The Credit Union employees have been unionized with OPIEU since the founding in 1969.

Pet Over Population Prevention (POPP) is a 501(c)(3), local non-profit, all-volunteer, NO-Kill pet organization dedicated to promoting responsible pet ownership thus preventing the needless death and suffering of companion animals.

People contact POPP when they can no longer care for their pets because they are moving, are allergic, have too many pets, found a stray, etc. POPP does make the owners responsible for altering their pets and for ensuring they are current on their vaccinations if at all possible. Our goal is to find forever homes for our foster pets.

POPP is an all breed rescue organization. We house our foster pets until they find their "forever homes." Our policy is to house the pets for as long as it takes to find the best home.
