Atomic City Rollergirls ready to rumble against Spokane June 19th
Tri-Cities roller derby to bout it out June 19 at Toyota Arena

The tough ladies of the Atomic City Rollergirls - Tri-Cities' roller derby league - will wreck havoc at their June 19 bout against the She Wolves of Spokane's Lilac City Rollergirls.
The "Toxic Avengers" bout will put two fierce Eastern Washington derby teams toe stop-to-toe stop at Atomic City's largest venue yet - the Toyota Arena in Kennewick. With 750 seats and standing room for 250 more people, the Toyota Arena will provide the community's enthusiastic support for roller derby a little breathing room. Large turnouts regrettably forced Atomic City to turn away eager fans at the door twice during the past two years.
"This bout is for our fans," said Atomic City President Julie "ValDeath" Valdez. "Their diehard support has helped keep the amazing sport and unique culture of roller derby alive in the Tri-Cities. To show our appreciation, Atomic City will gladly make the She Wolves howl in frustration as we win on our home turf."
The She Wolves won't be the only thing that the Atomic City beats June 19. The roller rebels will also take a stand against teen homelessness. One dollar out of every paid admission will go to the nonprofit My Friends Place, which is working to bring a homeless shelter to the Tri-Cities for teens ages 13 to 17. My Friends Place aims to provide a safe, stable shelter for the estimated 1,500 young Tri-Citians who are homeless each year.
And there's more for those who don't want the fun to stop with the bout. The public is invited to join the Atomic City Rollergirls at the official after-bout party. Join your favorite rollergirls at Club Out & About, 327 W. Lewis St., Pasco, immediately afterward.
